Default For Book Worms....

For the book worms amongst us, I have recently been introduced to ABE Books, a search mechanism for finding books listed from sellers around the world. OK, so I might be playing catch up with many of you, but for those who are unaware of ABE, it's worth a look.

Beware that there always seems to be an 'adjustment' in postage, and never in the purchasers favour, but being able to compare prices of a particular book from sellers all over the globe, from the comfort of my own laptop, is pretty good.

My recent purchasers are two first edition volumes of the Australian WW2 official history, which will replace the reprints I have had for years, to make my set a complete one of first editions. One was sourced from an Australian seller (go figure!) but the second one is coming from New Zealand dealer at a very reasonable price. I also noticed that a number of US and Canadian dealers had the volumes as well, which surprised me given the subject matter.
