Default Next time you're in Vancouver.......

Stop by the Farmer's Market at Nat Bailey Stadium and grab yourself a bowl of homemade organic Chili.... beef, chicken or vegetarian. I read the story in one of the weekly newspapers here, while having a small stint in the hospital and Steve's Story really intrigued me. So I popped down a couple of cold and rainy Sundays ago to meet the man, see the machine and taste his wares. You can read on in the photos or look him up on the internet under "Chili Tank". G'damn great chili. 16 ounce bowl and a big slab of bread (Russian.....go figure!) for $6.00! I had 2 bowls and the lineup never stopped!! On a good day, Steve will serve up 2 to 3 hundred bowls in a 4 hour stint. Not a bad return. Steve goes all over the lower mainland, when not working in the movie industry as a chef/caterer. He even did a stint at one of our local armories serving up a large group of WW11 veterans, who really got a kick out of the concept. God....makes me hungry just writing this! Enjoy.....Robert
