Chris,
if you look on the bottom of your Jerry can, the date reads "20-5-45"That actually means; 20 litres (or) 5 U.S. gallons (or) 4.5 imperial gallons. If it were the date, they would all have been made on the same day, at the end of the war. A BIG job!
