Hi, I disassembling a Stromberg NA9RD carb from a Continental R975-C1 radial in a Sexton. Or trying to - it's been a battle. And I lost it with the idle tube. It sheared as shown in the photos. I made a sketch of it and I think I can get one made, but does anyone know if any spares are available? I can't find anything searching.
I plan on drilling it out to the point where I can pry the external threads out of the carb body. Does that sound reasonable? The discharge nozzle shown in one of the photos is putting up a good fight too but with alternating applications of a LOT of heat and PB Blaster I may be able to get it out in one piece. If not, I'll need one of those too. I't's a 3/8" nozzle. Thanks. Malcolm DSC01034.jpg DSC01033.jpg DSC01036.jpg DSC01037.jpg Idle tube drawing.jpg |
