All,

As some of you may have heard, the PMO has declared 9 May 2014 a National Day of Honour http://www.pm.gc.ca/eng/news/2014/03...nal-day-honour. Although the Tulip Festival parade was planned well in advance, this late development has resulted in a direct hit to the powder magazine as far as the parade is concerned. Due to competing resources, the festival parade has been cancelled for this year. Next year’s parade is still on course to be “the big one” however.

That said, the WW2 Allied encampment at Dows Lake is STILL ON. This will include static displays of WW2 vehicles and re-enactor displays as before. Details such as Friday overnight camping, parking and other details are being finalized. More to follow.
