I think Phil is right...Chev's use a tube and Fords seem to use an angled strip.

From what I have seen, the strip/tube doesn't show on any cab11's. In fact the Servicepub factory photo's CD only shows the strip/tube on a few cab 12's, but definately not all. I presume early CMP's didn't have marker lights up front at all(?). Maybe some were retrofitted, but I have seen a number of Cab 11's and 12's here which don't show any evidence of any marker light ever being fitted.
