Default M38A1CDN2 Engine

Hi,
I have been told that there was a maintenance modification order on the M38A1 engines. It is about the engine area near where the shaft of the distributer goes down thru the engine to the oil pump. The wall of the engine is thin in one spot and can possibly crack. This would cause anti-freeze to go into the oil pan, and destroy the engine. The solution, that the army came up with, was to cut a pipe to a given length and specified diameter, coat it with a sealant and tap it down into the distributer shaft tube.... Has anyone heard of this and is it true? If yes, can someone give me the complete manual info on this. I am in the process of rebuilding an engine and would like to perform this if it is true, and not just some old tale... Thanks
