As some of you may know I have purchased a 1940 11 Cab F8, Ser# 1G-2818F. There does not appear to be or have been any vin/data plate on the vehicle. There is a what I believe a shift pattern and lubrication plate missing, located behind of the steering wheel in view of the driver. Rob Love and I also investigated the 11 Cab Fords in the dust bowl and it does not appear the 11 Cabs had data plates either. My question is was there Data plate for the 11 Cabs Fords? If so what do they look like?
What ever information provide would be greatly appreciated Picture 1. Side of gauge cluster 2. Front of gauge clutser 3. Ford F15 shift pattern and lubrication 4. Missing Plate location
