I bought one of the genius chargers which has the 24 volt capacity. They are a smart pulse type charger which will also maintain a battery. Canadian tire carries them, but they are abotu double what you paid Robin.

The military has 24v solar chargers available for their vehicles. Perfect for vehicles that spend 90% of their life sitting in a compound. I have seen them available surplus on steel soldiers and ebay for reasonable prices.
