Casting can be done but it would need a sacrificial wax plug made.. Bens fortay is cast work so will defer to his superior knowledge. It is otherwise an easy enough job though.

Only problem with solid arms is that the carrier will be arse down before you even hitch anything up.

Kev might be worth casting as a lump, section the arm and mill out the unwanted material, then re weld the two sections back together.

Time consuming and no doubt expensive, but you would get what you wanted at the end..
