Interesting CFE vehicle marking

I noticed on the M39 Cab for sale heads up post that the 1962 5 Tonner that is being parted out has some interesting Markings on the inside of the door. On the Drivers door it is stenciled "AUTOBAHN - 80"

I've never seen this marking before was it common in Erurope?
