The bag looks like it is fitted with a pair of shoulder straps.

If the bag is oriented as if it had a wireless set in it, and was all ready to carry, could that give us a clue as to what wireless it was designed for?

Maybe pack the bag with some old newspapers or magazines to fill it out and lets see what it looks like.

Another thought. Was it actually designed for a wireless set, or perhaps another piece of signals equipment that would have needed protection of this type?
