Many GM cars of the period had a very similar design dash but they went to 110. In 1940 none of them could go anywhere near that speed unless they lost their brakes descending Pike's Peak.
The Ford GP speedo went to 100. Now that would be exciting in a jeep doing the ton! Looked very impressive and the fact it was there gave the illusion of "potential". Lang
