Default Unknown sheet metal part

I’m trying to ID this sheet metal part. It came with a Cab13 C15a that a friend recently picked up. We can’t figure out where it goes. It may not even be CMP.

It is 22” long, 2” high and 5-1/2” wide. Along the one edge there is staple holes.

Any help would be much appreciated.
