I remember seeing these as Peerless kits in the mid 1970s, after which Airfix and Italeri took over the moulds.
It surprises me that no one has ever done a simple conversion kit of these to lengthen the wheel base to produce a 3 tonner. In the FAT kit I remember that there were extra parts to build a 13 cab and with the increased wheel size the kit was ripe for conversion, by Airfix or Italeri! To my knowledge the 15 cwt truck is still the most accurate. Its a shame the rear tub was not the most common steel type of mid war onwards!
