That handle shown in the Parts Catalog as 17061 was also common issue the Ford CMPs as well.

Very multi-purpose tool. As well as adjusting the brakes, the kink on the end fitted large size sockets, one that adjusted the 6 sided bearing retainer nut on the front hub of 4x4 CMPs, and another that fitted the 8 sided bearing retainer nuts on the rear of most Ford Trucks, including CMPs and Carriers. I'm sure the 8 sided scoket would also be carried as a Carrier toll.
