I have to point out that the Winnipeg dry cold beats the hell out of the wet/humid cold of winter. I had to work in Winnipeg about ten years ago and it was in a deep cold spell of upper -30c (less WC factor) fly back to Ottawa on weekends to a balmy -5c and found it
much worse and all clammy cold. Noticed the same thing in the Arctic so give me a bone snapping dry cold in the dead of winter any time,
