Hi all,
I'm hoping for an identification of a couple of rifle cases I acquired recently. I've posted this elsewhere without luck, so I think these might be uncommon items. My thoughts so far - UK/Commonwealth rifle valise design for a No 4 Lee Enfield, but using materials, heavy canvas over thick grey felt, and US parachute fittings normally seen on the US Griswold rifle bags. This was acquired in Edmonton, Canada, which leads me to believe they might be post-war Canadian Mobile Strike Force items from the late 40s or 50s. I'm hoping a forum member has the specialist knowledge to ID these things. Cheers, D Rifle valises (2).jpg IMG_1961.JPG IMG_1967.jpg IMG_1969 (2).jpg IMG_1966 (2).jpg |
