Hi Mike,
I have six piston kits in almost identical packaging for my Daimler Ferret Scoutcar. The Austin Champ (B40), Daimler Ferret (B60), Saracen/saladin (B80) and many more post war British MVs shared a common basic engine design in the Rolls Royce ‘B’ series, whether 4,6 or 8 cylinder range they shared a very high commonality of parts interchangeability. Pistons were issued in pairs for obvious reasons of fkexibility across the B series range You may recall I had a Mk1 FV432 APC project years ago and it too had a Rolls Royce B81 Mk 8F petrol engine. Imho they are a beautiful feat of engineering, slightly old fashioned for an early 1950s design but robust, very very reliable if heavy on fuel. Not all B series engines were actually manufactured by Rolls Royce themselves (Insert raging debate here) If you want to sell those two I would be interested I recall I may have a set of 4 in a box somewhere from an Austin Champ clearout Cheers Phill
