Default CONNECTOR, 4-Pt, No. 32 Mk II. ZA/CAN/BR 21747

This particular item was not standard issue equipment with any of the Wireless Set No. 19 equipped Wireless Vans, Trucks or Lorries. It was simply not needed because everything needed to operate the wireless set from within these vehicles had already been factory installed in the vehicles.

If, however, the Signals Personnel operating from any of these vehicles knew they would have to go remote from their vehicle to operate the wireless set, they would order the Ground Operation Kit for the 19-Set, This kit included the Truck and Ground Installation Instructions which told them where any additional items would be stored or installed in the vehicle from which they normally operated.

The Connector, 4-Point, No. 32 and later Connector, 4-Point, No. 32 Mk II allowed the 19-Set to operate either directly from a pair of Wireless Batteries, or via the more complex Ground setup of batteries, Chorehorses and Switchboard Charging.

Operational illustrations to follow.
