I believe Mitas also do a 9.00x16 tyre in this tread pattern so these may be the ones you saw.

Regarding the Dingo tyres, from memory I think they went for approximately £1180.

A friend placed my bid so I cannot comment on the conduct of the sale, but I believe one if not both of the current Military vehicle magazines are running articles on this sale in their next editions. Certainly the items still waiting for collection when I called were amazing. Jacksons were basically clearing their stock of post-war British A and B vehicle spares to make room for modern equipment. Hopefully the spares in particular will be preserved and not scraped.

My friend placed a high bid on some 11.00x20 tyres and failed to get any, and I ended up with 4 10.50x16 tyres for approximately £170.00. Three were on war-time dated split rims and will presumably fit straight on to my C15TA.

The stock of British war-time tread pattern 9.00x16 and 11.00x20 tyres is now practicaly exhausted in the UK and we are badly in need of some one to take the finanical risk and buy a container load from simmex. I hate seeing totaly inappropriate american or modern tread patterns on tyres fitted to British war-time vehicles. I have no choice with 10.50x16, but owners of British 3 tonners and 15cwt's can gang together to place an order.
