Default 45 Hup Front Bumper Mount

This thread is in response to Manitoba's foremost 45 HUP expert, who is looking to replace or rebuild some of his HUP's components. The part de jour is the venerable HUP bumper mount - an interesting combination of a cast piece and stock steel.

Mark, the dimensions taken tonight (after a few Rickards and Keiths) were of the face plate that is welded onto the long part of the mount. Picture if you will (Bob Carriere will post photos shortly) a 3/8 th thick, 4 inch x 2.5 inch rectangular piece of steel - with the corner edges slightly rounded off. It has four 15/32 holes - one drilled near each corner. The holes on the narrow side are 1 and 9/16 inches apart centre to centre. The holes on the long side are 3.0 inches apart centre to centre.

The plate actually is welded to the cast piece with the long side in the vertical position. One side of the plate is welded even with the "spine" of the mount

I'm sure that the photos will be of more assistance. Despite the lack of technical training and the overindulgence in beer, I think the dimensions are correct.
