Back in 1992 i paid a yearly visit to 215 SQN RCT TA whilst on there annual summer camp at Folkestone in kent. In the process of taking photos of the vehicles the RSM approached me and said why not take some photos at the training ground for us as we have little in the way of records at base. I didn,t need to be asked twice and two days later i arrived at the cross country training area at Densole about 8 miles from the camp, the main instruction for the day was to train new recruits how to handle the JCB 410 rough terrain fork lift truck. As plant hire was the trade i worked in i was given the oppertunity to try myself and in addition got to take the Bedford TM 4x4 and 6x6 trucks over the course as well, i do believe that this unit has now disbanded or amalgamated in recent years but i still appreciate the chance i was given to test the vehicles and of course take a few rolls of film in the process
