Default Engine stud removal

Hello ,

Maybe this post would be better on a restoring tips heading .

We all have to , at some point remove rusty cyl head studs from engine blocks . Usually , broken studs and grey hairs result .

A recent post on the G 503 forum was very informative . A Jeep restorer used a penetrant that is commonly used in detecting cracks in the aircraft industry . Its a dye penetrant they use with a glow dye substance to look for minute cracks in aircraft parts .

Our intrepid Jeep restorer tried this stuff out on his rusted in engine studs and the results were amazing . They all came out with ease after a overnight soaking .

Does anyone know if this stuff is available to us ordinary grease monkeys

Mike
