CMP 15cwt.....or maybe not?

Hi all,

First post so thanks for letting me on board. I've just bought a CMP Chevy, It looks like a 15CWT but it appears to be on a Quad gun tractor chassis (big winch). Is this a "farm special" or an army mod?

A very elderly mate of mine thought he remembered the REME building some up like this towards the end of ww2 for 17lb anti-tank gun tractors. I can't find any other referance to this though. Any ideas chaps?

If it's a farm special I'll sell it or brake it for spares, if it has an army history I'll have to have a re-think.
