Default Fox vs Humber

Gents,

I posted a similar question a ways back and received some kind offers of help, but here is something a litte more specific re: Foxes.

I am trying to compile sufficient references to scratchbuild a 1/35 scale Fox armoured car. Photos are not a problem but the set of drawings I possess have some measurement discrepencies between the views, limiting their usefulness for my purposes.

I know the Fox was 'based' on the Humber Mk III/IV, but how close were the bodies? Was the Fox simply the Humber body (with different fittings) dropped on a CMP chassis or was the Fox's body only similar in shape/proportions to the Humber body but with different actual panel sizes to fit the CMP chassis dimensions?

If the panel shapes/sizes were substantially the same I figure I will be able to work from the Humber MKIII/IV plan pack from the Tank Museum. If not, I guess I will have choose between the measurements on my existing drawings

So can someone fill me in re: the similarities?

thanks

Mark
