My father in law (86 yrs) sent me a belt his brother used to wear. It is surrounded with badges most of which he obtained in Canada while training as an Air Gunner under the Empire Scheme, He was Royal New Zealand Air Force Apart from the belt he also obtained a Canadian Wife.
I will list the Canadian ones, it may be of interest to some of you to see that history is still being preserved 1. Canadian Engineers (Beaver in wreath) 2. The Lake Superior Regiment 3. Fort Garry Horse 4. Veterans Guard Canada 5. Canadian Medical Corps 6. Royal Winnipeg Rifles 7. Canadian Provost Corps 8. Badge with WW1 tank, Canada underneath (Armoured)? 9. The Canadian Scottish 10. Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada 11. Beaver on top 3 cannonballs, 3 cannons (Ordnance)? 12. 2 Armoured Car Regiment (Wheel with a wing on it) 13. Canadian Army Service Corps 14. Complicated badge with 2 flags on it RCCS (Signals)? 15. Corp of Miklitary Staff Clerks 16. Royal Canadian Engineers 17. Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps (differs from the other Ordnance in that it has the Order of the Garter around it the same as the old New Zealand Ordnance Badge) I know nothing of the Canadian Regiments but suspect that a number of the above have probably been dissolved or amalgamated by now. They are beautiful heavy ornate badges fitting for a Soldier Merry Xmas Rookie
