Default 1941 F15 rear axle

Gooday Fellas
I am aware that this question may have been asked before, but as I am new to the forum I thought I would run it by you anyway. My 1940 F15 is missing its rear axle and I have been looking for a Ford axle, now after reading some of the posts on this forum I am wondering if I should be looking for a C15 rear axle.Chevrolet axles are fairly plentiful around here so that would make my life a lot easier. My truck chassis number is 1G-8129F and the cab has the air vents at the front.I look forward to seeing your comments.I originally bought the truck about 20 years ago to save it from the crusher and then sell it to an interested restorer, but not one person who has been through my yard in those 20 years has shown any interest in it. I thought that with all the knowledge available here I might give the old girl a bit of a tidy up myself.
Cheers Ken
