For those who may be interested ... the airport has expanded last year and now has finally added Delta airlines, making flights between here and the US (and other countries) connections, should anyone have a need to visit the area. Beats flying to Vancouver or Calgary and catching a smaller flight over (and cheaper too)

Delta Air Lines in East Kootenays
Cranbrook B.C. - TMTV/BCTV Kootenays April 16, 2008 - The Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook has reached and agreement with Delta Air Lines that will see the airline provide service to Cranbrook starting in December.
Flights will connect to Delta Airline’s major distribution hub at Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah.
Elchitz says the service means a passenger can leave New York City at 8 a.m. and arrive in Cranbrook in the early afternoon.
The service will run three days per week, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and will operate in the summer and winter tourist seasons.
The airport has announced the deal, but continues negotiations to finalize the agreement, which Elchitz expects to be completed in about a month.
He said Salt Lake City International Airport was a major distribution hub for the airline, serving almost every major city in the U.S. and western Europe.
