Having said that, there's a certain perverse fun in identifying and zapping these bastards. Unfortunately, 99.9% of the 'gibberish' registrations you see are from spambots, so the anoraks who run them really don't see their rejections. But it's fun anyway...

Have been on the road since the 25th, just back now. Guess what? That 533 is now 563, 30 more in five days! Too much time on their hands, but in one sense I'm happy to be wasting it for them...

Just to let you know, if you've noticed a drop in our membership rolls it's because Sally has just finished cleaning out about 600 spammers on our membership list, leaving only the 80 who have attempted to join since July 1st...

I hate these bastards, but kudos to Sally for a great job I have been putting off for a while!

Well, it's 2140 EDT here on 31 Jul 08, and our toll of spammers for this month alone is 234. That's not counting those who've tried to get in using already-banned IPs and/or emails.

Quite astounding, really. That makes it almost 900 since February alone.
