BTW, the crystals that are installed in my set are nowhere near any Amateur Band Plan spectrum. They are 4.230, 5.735, 6.873, 5.396, 5.856 which are, in order, Maritime Mobile, Aero Mobile, ISM Fixed Secondary, amd Fixed Mobile except Aero. I earlier said that the xtals were way below 2m...I'm wrong there, but it appears in any cse that the xtals available aren't for Amateur RadOps. HTH, Regards Regards

I would pay for photocopying costs and shipping. I am trying to get a manual from another source but a duplicate wouldn't hurt.
Mine also has crystals in the 5 MHz range but since it goes 2-12 MHz, it should cover a the 75, 60 and 40 mtr bands with the proper crystals and interconnections. It should go anywhere in that range. The US also has a 60 mtr channelized band so the easiest "conversion" would be to that band (it's also USB there so any CP-34 should work there). With a manual, it would be easier to figure out the crystal frequency if it is a single or double conversion unit or whatever. Plus the different interconnection (for lack of a better word) areas are a little hard to figure out. ![]() Bob |

I did finally get in contact with conceptionrb and got the manual. I don't know what the problem was before. Anyway, since mine is USB only, I can get on the 60 meter (it is already crystaled for frequencies in that area) and if I push it (or get the 18 MHz mod) I might get it on the 20 meter band. At least I have a start. Thanks again for all the help.

you might also want to consider 3996 khz USB. We have a military radio net Wednesday nights at 2000 hrs PST (0400Z Thursday) on the west coast. There is also one starting on the east coast, same freq, 0300Z Thursday.
