You will have to show what he two holes were for. I had noticed these holes as well on the 30 Mutts I took apart.

This is the offending box that left 2 holes on the Passenger Side Wheel Well. I managed to source a nice one from Andy out West. Although its designed to switch between two 524s, i'm going to go ahead and install it and hope a second bargain 524 shows up one of these days.

I sent you an e-mail Rob. I'm getting excited now that I can see the finish line.

Thought for you I used the armor version of these as the basis for an inter vehicle intercom in my CMPs I have a radio box with CB and HF radios and using them to connect the military headsets that couple to these boxes. Makes it so you can talk in the cab of CMP at something less that a scream. Also you can talk to other vehicles in a convoy.

I was under the impression you needed an AM-1780 Box in order to get the C-2298 working for Vehicle Intercom (VIC 1 System)? Were you able to get Intercom with just the C-2298 on its own?

Its an interesting idea. I havn't actually even driven this little demon yet, but it may be a good idea depending on the highway noise.

Thanks

Scotty

Hi Scotty

Here is the units that I have tied together as intercom using the PA in a CB as the amp for the intercom. I'll try and find my wiring diagram and post it. I'm not sure that the unit I used has the same functions as the C-2298. I'll check with some our radio guru's.

Yes the head sets do cancel out the road noise and engine, gear box noise.

Default Another one saved... and Road Legal!!

Big gap in posts on here, but as you could expect, I got close to the finish and spent every last minute getting it done.

Its not restored, far from it. That will come later. But for now it is now 99% complete parts-wise, all original, Street Legal, and running well.

Thanks for all of the help so far from everyone here.

Comms install is next

Now some pics:

Now, if I could just resist the urge to drive it in the winter

Does anyone know where to find a legally Deactivated SMG.

Not totally concerned if its a UK/Brit Sterling model rather than a C1 SMG.

I thought it would be a nice touch along with everything else in it in case I ever take it to a show.

I think i'm gonna start really kicking myself for getting rid of all my old Fighting Order and stuff.

Just curious as to why you went with the personalized (and expensive) plates vice the historical vehicle plates?

Those are "regular" Ontario Plates.

I was going to look at Historic Plates down the road. I wasn't sure about the process, so I decided to wait.
