Default Paint

I am using Light Stone 61....this was the color used by the British in North Africa....I get the paint from the original supplier to Ford during the war. The company is still in operation.

cheers

Mike

Default Two possible model......

Hi Mike

Phil's site as suggested is probably the best source of info and drawings....

There appears to be two style of battery hold down cover.... the open style as in your picture..... but you will probably have a hard time to match a current battery box size to fit/match the original hold down..... and the full cover which I prefer as it hides the modern 12 v. battery from CTC....

I have a good original battery box and if you need measurements or specific pictures let me know.

Boob.

Mike, your Light Stone looks to be the same colour as the one I came up with. I took one of the IWM colour pix and adjusted the colour until the skin tones were right then took the paint colour and printed out a part of a page with it. I took this to the paint store and they used their computer to come up with the formula. It seems to have worked real good. Are you going to keep yours one colour or add camouflage?

Mike

Thanks for the help, do you have a link to the paint Co. ?

The tan looks great, all you need now is the Moo Cow dark brown and it will look like a Nestle Quick truck !

Default To camo or not to camo...that is the question

Hi Dave...

Currently I plan to keep it as is. Once I get a little bored with it I will add a camo pattern and then eventually do a NW Europe color scheme...afterall it is only paint and with a gun it only takes about an hour to do.

cheers

Mike
