I'm laughing at myself...I thought they were personalized (Bete = beast in French, 831 a military occupational code...I think). The MTO website used to have the historical plate application guide, but I think the bureaucrats have been at it again. Best bet is to drop into the local MTO office.

Nice work on the vehicle.
