It took months, but Emma painstakingly and lovingly removed all the dirt, caked-on grease, oil and paint from this cab 12 and then just as carefully applied the paint... all with her tongue.
Here is a pic of her after she had steam cleaned and sandblasted her tongue back to normal.

The tongue may have been cleaned and sandblasted BUT someone is going to feel the rough edge of her tongue with that cutting remark, there,s nothing colder than a womans shoulder. the pic was described to me as.....errrrrr.... !!!!!!!!

Good to see you keep your dogs well trained, Emma. Do you feed them much? A mate of mine had working dogs, but he just couldn't feed them enough, always hungry, everything they ate just went straight through. He took them to the Vet, and found the problem:

Thank you to the organizing committee for another great event.
It was great to put faces to names of this forum and HMVF, I'm sorry that I missed the group photo shoot. I arrived on Friday to find that the Bandiana boys had decided that our site from last year, at the airport, was the better sight. We set up for wet weather having loaded on Thursday in the rain, the first rain we have had for 2009. The LYNX didn't make it to the parade as on the run down she was overheating, but as this was her first decent run she went well and all we have to do is find a few missing parts and the overheating should be fixed. ![]() The Israeli half track went well until a welsh plug started to leak on the return trip, another repair job. ![]() The MRV (M113 with Scorpion turret) had a good run around the paddock after a ride on the Mack Truck for the parade. ![]() Sunday morning we were up again bright and early to return the vehicles to the museum for the National serviceman's reunion. Well I hope every one got home safely and we hope to be there next year but we don't have many Jeeps in the museum.

I've been meaning to congratulate Salesman Bob on his absolutely magnificent effort of re-creating the prototype half-track Chev CMP.
Well done also to Colin Jones for his engineering excellence. To see this actually running was one of the highlights of the show not only for me but all who had the chance to see it. These are some still frames from the video I was shooting so if you missed it in the metal you can see and hear it on the forthcoming DVD.

The first is Swiss Chris and Greg Beeston in Chris' F15, and the second is one of the Jeeps having a bit of fun down by the river.

My, my, my, looks you all had a lot fun.
I have to hand it to you, Australian friends: you all know how to organise and enjoy a good HMV show! Here's hoping our neutral European representative behaved properly. And of course he was taking that beautiful F15 with him to Switzerland. They should have at least one example of a proper truck with an engine running like a Swiss watch. A big hand for Keith for restoring that truck in record time. Well done! ![]() Hope to make it down to Corowa one day. . . Hanno

Hanno,
You will be made more than welcome when you come to Australia. I will be looking out for you at Normandy 2009. We will have to make a time and place to meet. Corowa for the next few years will be as follows: 2010 The Year of the Jeep. 2011 The Year of the British and European Vehicle 2012 The Year of the 6X6 (anything with 3 driven axles) 2013 The Year of the Trailer and Towed Equiptment. So please put these themes in you diary for future planning. Regards Rick

Hanno, after Corowa you could do the same as Chris and experience "Year of the Sheep" in Yass which of course is every year there.
![]() Not only that it's perpetual Year of the Blitz, Carrier and Jeep there too.

I have just received a copy of the Corowa Free Press which was put out on Wednesday 18th March. There are 2 pages of great photos and a number of them have MLU members in them. There is a great photo of Sidney & Errol Holgate, Rick Cove, Ian Grieve, Tim Scriven and Bob Moseley with his dog.
Other coverage was done by Jeep Action Magazine, Truckin Life and Owner Driver magazine.

I received a phone call from Michael Bishop from Queensland. He was staying at Ball Park Caravan Park and on either Saturday night at the auction of Sunday lost his prescription glasses. They were in a black vinyl case with 2 liquid paper marks on the flap. If you know where they are please phone Michael on 0428 117282.
At the Corowa airport in 2008 a large bunch of keys were found. A couple of months later I received a call regarding some lost keys and was able to put the person in contact with Tabitha at the airport.
