Thanks to Max and others I now have all the components as patterns to make up battery boxes including even the pieces of unobtainium.
I'll be taking them to a couple of fabricators to see what sort of cost there is. Is there anyone else interested in a set so I can have some idea of numbers - as always the more we make the cheaper they will be. ![]() ![]() And the inside of the cover... ![]()

Will see what I can do tomorrow. I imagine the gauge is going to be the same as the cab sheet metal, ie 16 gauge. The hold down is thicker.

Fabricators....I know plenty down my way, (the)Hardest thing they will have trouble with is getting the Steel rivets (qty 6) for the bracket. PM Me for a contact if you want....
The spade like end needs to be forged. (made red hot and hammered to that shape from a piece of rod.) The thread would have been mechanically cut, You could cheat & use threaded rod, and cut it to length. Ian

Fair few Sheet metal fabricators around here .Looks fairly basic design
Hold down studs and clamp look to be the hardest to replicate

I put the parts on it to see whether you'd notice! Yes that's the door from Neil, and I also brought back the roof and will take the hoodbow out this weekend. I'll put the door in the back of your truck if you want it... let me know. Can you also see your new steering box with the little round plate on the end to protect the cable from the horn?

I see there is a second set of holes for riveting the studs on to the bb. Why?

They all seem to have that lower set of holes - possibly for a different application.

I am surely interested in one. Either you chuck it in the back of Chris' truck, or send me a "flat packed" version. Cheers, Hanno
