And here I didn't think they started making cab 13s until 1942.

Hi Bob & Rob,
That's good news, there is nothing like having the border guard on your side. I am sure Mike will be a great help. If you do get it, there should be a fun 'down east' recovery trip coming this summer. Don't forget to plan a detour to the Island for Keith's and lobster etc.Brian |

This ad was listed in another thread, but I thought I would put these here. I went out today and took a look at it. Here are some pictures.

Here are the rest of the photos. Bill and I saw this one a couple of years ago, but the owner was not interested in selling it. The picture on Kijiji I think is an older one and is not too clear.

HI Craig
Would be a good parts truck and if in Ontario I would probably be home by now...... Distance/fuel cost makes it prohibitive...... Strange how it did not sell at $400 and is now relisted at $500...... antiques do gain in value very quickly...... BooB

Listed as monster truck tires and axles
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ139824351 The tires are too large for a CMP, axles look like they're from a M135, but the photos are mainly CMP. |

It's a Chev HUP, or more accurately, a wireless HUW...note the angled division panel behind the cab. Note too the four holes on the front left cowl where the overflow can would have been. That makes it a 1942. Running board (or boards?) is intact. Not a bad truck for the price.

Not a CMP but one of the dreaded HUx series. Perhaps Rob Clarke will scoop it up (wife permitting)????

Thanks for the heads up, Grant. I won't be after that beast unless I win the lotto big time. Still have one more HUP to recover yet...don't tell the frau!

This is the same basic body type that I modified to fit my C60L sliced 10" out of the middle length wise. To get a reasonable visual match for the one of the Australian drop side boxes. It also makes my C60L a very useful truck for cargo.

This picture actually shows the early GS fixed side rear body (5D2 and 5D4 type), as discussed in the thread Chevrolet C60L with early GS body. I think you did a great job on restoring your C60L. But I am only mentioning this as it widens the options for others restoring 3-ton CMPs, as I reckon fixed side bodies are more numerous than drop side bodies. Regards, Hanno

There is a CMP rolling chasis and cab (13 I think) for sale in Sherwood Park, AB on kijiji. There are no doors or windows and it looks to be in good shape. Is $1900.00 a fair price? There is no motor but I believe there is a trany and transfer case.
Thanks Wayne
