Default 8-cwt in England

There´s a well-known F8 in the UK, search this forum for pictures.

Also, a C8 Cab 12 recently turned up for sale in the UK:

My guesss is that you have a 15cwt 4x2. Both Ford and Chevrolet models are listed in the AEDB Design Record.

Rob,those are 15 cwt gas tanks and wheels so I'd say it's a 15 cwt. The 8 cwts have 6 bolt wheels. Compare pics of 8 and 15 cwts and you'll see that the front fenders are narrower on the 8 cwt too.

Default C8

Another C8 turned up here is W.A. at a private collection in the Wheatbelt.
Original and unrestored but very tired after many years of service. Owner looking for a super rare 13" rim

Default Four in Eastern Ontario?

As Paul Singleton said, my F8 cab 12 is running but it won't have a finished box and new canvas until September.
Mike Calnan at Swords and Ploughshares has a running C8, Jason Ginn near Ottawa has another F8 - must be running or near running now- and the war museum in Ottawa has at least one though not sure if its runnable any more. So that's four at least in E. Ontario.
Anyone doing the math to add 'em up?

Hi,

My F8 is an 11 cab Ford GS truck that was issued to the 2nd Battalion Dufferin & Haldimand Rifles in Southern Ontario. The truck was not sent to the praries for farm use like many 8cwts but was used by a construction company after the war. Marc Montgomery owned the truck at one time and later sold it to Don Dingwall. I Purchased the truck from Don as a partially restored project and have recently finished the restoration of the cab and chassis. I haven't put it in the road yet as i am still working on finding a 1B2 body and inner tubes for the tires but it is otherwise ready to go. I have located 1941 period cinefilm footage of the truck while it was in service with the D&H Rifles so I am really exited to finish the project!

A few folks on the forum have asked for updated pics so i have attached a few.
