Tony,
Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the MLUers. For Australian buyers who may gasp at the $15.00 shipping charge added by my software I confirmed this morning that the actual cost (before packaging supplies) is $13.80. In one case where a number of books were added to the order and the shipping charges totalled $33.00 be assured that I refunded $18.00 as overpayment. This is because my software isn't 'smart' enough to figure out all of the permutations of book size/weight and destination.
Clive

Clive I send a lot of plants by post around Australia and I glanced at the $15.00 fee and thought it was fair and reasonable if not cheap. I look forward to getting the CD and having a browse, especially at the MCP vehicles.

Clive,
I have Lynn’s book at present. It differs from an ordinary bound type book in that it is a heavy binder held together by removable, threaded, studs containing individual sheets. The pictures show different models of vehicles with brief descriptions as captions and then views of the same model from different angles.
Lynn has kindly given me permission to make a copy for myself but it will only be on c.d. in .pdf format scanned at 400 dpi.
The photos in the book, while very good, are not glossy high resolution and are on paper that has yellowed a bit over time.
I have tested copies at higher resolutions in jpg and tiff in colour and greyscale but the results when printed on my colour laser printer are still quite grainy looking and have large file sizes.
I expect that a commercially done reprint would be very expensive.
Your CD sounds like it would be much better to have but I have this opportunity to make this one for myself.
Regards,
Terry

Default GM photos

I have hi-res scans of about 200 GM photos that I should like to add to, to see if I can build up the best possible GM album.

I am rather proud that my Pearsons book turned out so well with fantastic scans of original professional shots. Modern tech is so wonderful!
