If you have a look at the detail shots here you'll spot other Chev bits such as master cylinder and gearbox. It really was quite an ingenious design.
Athough not CMP I can think of a few parallel examples such as the Strickland Bren-Tractor as well as others made from Jeep components. Wherever there were good supplies of relatively inexpensive new stock engineers put their minds to turning a profit from it. What other fascinating things are out there around the world in this vein which were made in series production, not just one-off marvels?

What a fabulous looking piece of kit! There are of course the famous 'Blitz buses' from Burma too, but they are basically new bodies with CMP fronts. There were even a few buses built here - Keith Adam has one based on a Ford F15.

Indeed; interestingly, it´s front looks very much like the DAF trucks of this era (see attachment). It was built by Wijnveen in 1955 using a 1943(?) Ford F60L chassis for the fire brigade of the town of Echteld.
BTW, the source of the pic above is http://buzzybeeforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=152&t=7782, the source of the DAF pic below is http://www.oudedaf.nl/Nostalgie%20pagina%202.htm H.

Yes but not quite at my fingertips. Although that one was more in the 'one-off' category rather than series production.
