For Bob and Grant who lurk on the Forum while at work:
The time has come for us to give the barn a good cleaning out. If we want a useable work area over the winter, the back of the barn will have to be cleared out and parts put away. It would also be a good time to clean out the shed and properly organize it. I propose a barn cleaning party this weekend. I'll even bring the beer!

If Bob hadn't seen it I had. Now Bob and I will have to negotiate to see who bids on behalf of the rotters. The same seller also has a Ford on the go, not as useful as a Chev to us, but still some common parts, or for resale to Ford addicts.

It was a full weekend at the barn. Saturday saw Bob and Grant mounting tires (Michelins) to 16 in rims. They seemed to fit quite nicely. They also took time to do some much needed roof repairs to the barn. it is good to see Bob getting high up in the world.
Sunday, I joined the fray. In fact, we had a full house with the arrival of Guy Vapeur - who was sporting some type of flu (normally we would suspect the 24 hrs Molson flu, but Guy is not a drinker). Grant and I kept our distance from him just in case...The rest of the morning involved sandblasting (Grant at the cabinet), parts shuffling (out with the old parts - to the shed) and frame wrangling. After lunch, Bob, Grant and I started the process of stocking the woodpile for next fall. We ventured into Bob's back 40 acres and took out trees that were rotting or leaning over the the boundry fence. After a few hours of that fun, we retired to the barn for a beer. It wasn't hard to get to sleep last night... Monday. We were down to two of us. Bob and I headed back into the woods to harvest more logs for firewood. We spent the day cutting down trees, retrieving logs and ferrying them back to the woodpile. It was 16oC today - pleasant at most times, but hot when you are working the chains over rough country. I called it quits at 3 PM and headed for home to start my honeydo list. If I get through most of the list by noon tomorrow, I'll pop out to see if Bob wants some more help. Lord and master surveying the "harvest": ![]() More of the harvest: ![]()
