Hi Ray
The way vehicles were disposed of was they were first offered to other federal government departments, then local government, then the dealer networks and finally for disposal to others. Many thousands of CMPs here in Australia were sold back through the Ford and Holden dealer network. A couple of good examples of government agencies were the disposal of many C15s to the PMG department where they were modified into linesman trucks, and another good example is to the various rural fire services. The Department of Civil Aviation operated a large mixed fleet of CMPs

A good example of such was at the Mackay Airport where there was a C15 Fire pumper. from there I think it went to one of the Whitsunday Island airports, possibly Brampton.
