Default Barn Update

It was a full weekend at the barn. Saturday saw Bob and Grant mounting tires (Michelins) to 16 in rims. They seemed to fit quite nicely. They also took time to do some much needed roof repairs to the barn. it is good to see Bob getting high up in the world.

Sunday, I joined the fray. In fact, we had a full house with the arrival of Guy Vapeur - who was sporting some type of flu (normally we would suspect the 24 hrs Molson flu, but Guy is not a drinker). Grant and I kept our distance from him just in case...The rest of the morning involved sandblasting (Grant at the cabinet), parts shuffling (out with the old parts - to the shed) and frame wrangling. After lunch, Bob, Grant and I started the process of stocking the woodpile for next fall. We ventured into Bob's back 40 acres and took out trees that were rotting or leaning over the the boundry fence. After a few hours of that fun, we retired to the barn for a beer. It wasn't hard to get to sleep last night...

Monday. We were down to two of us. Bob and I headed back into the woods to harvest more logs for firewood. We spent the day cutting down trees, retrieving logs and ferrying them back to the woodpile. It was 16oC today - pleasant at most times, but hot when you are working the chains over rough country. I called it quits at 3 PM and headed for home to start my honeydo list. If I get through most of the list by noon tomorrow, I'll pop out to see if Bob wants some more help.

Lord and master surveying the "harvest":

More of the harvest:

Default Thanks for the lead Paul....

Grant and I will be looking into the Chev at least...... the Ford seems to have some sheet metal modification to the roof line at the windshield......

If any one is interested in the Ford we can pick up and store for you in Hammond's CMP cemetery.....

Cemetary sounds so...final and negative. Life will spring forth from all of these great vehicles (maybe not in our life time, but you get the idea). Surely not a cemetary, Bob. Any of the following will do:
The wagon lines/Vehicle park/Compound/Assembly area/Motor pool/Spare parts storage/Parking lot/Robbing stock/Cannibalization yard.

There is one exception - the Ford is so low on the restoration list now (due to infux of HUPs) it smells like whale crap. One good offer and it's gone...

Eric, The Ford is missing the rear box/tray, the paint is flaking, the metal is rusty, the passenger seat is gone, the tires are flat. But it has a complete engine. It would make a great addition to the North Shore...more on that later.
