Thanks Euan, I have only just joined MLU a couple of days ago so only very new to MLU. Have seen lots of CMPs in my travels but usually stripped down to basics for other uses. I picked up 2 of these boxes at an auction about 8 years ago. They are in very good nick for their age and one has had the flange edge folded up but I have them on the top of my tray truck for storage at the moment.
Nice to know I have something CMP as well as Post WW2 vehicles.
Any close up pics around?? and which model did they come with??

PS what are POW cans??

Hi Ray

Welcome on MLU. POW means Petrol, Oil & Water.

Here are two pics of restored toolboxes. The big one happens to be Euan's for his F60 project, with a spare wheel carrier mounted next. I think yours is the small box for a 15cwt Blitz.

Greetings from Switzerland
Chris

Thanks Chris
I now discover I have more bits as the POW racks (2) were included in the sale lot. I am sure I put them in the shed, not knowing what they were for and thinking possibly a battery holder. I will go and see if I can find them.

Default POW rack

Ray,
The chain is to hold the flat bar that goes across the top of the rack to secure the can.
The only difference between C/F15 and C/F60L spare wheel carrier is the larger truck has a ramp/ladder stored under the tool box and spare wheel. The tool box is the same on both.

Thanks Euan
I can see and understand that now, looking at the pic of your box and carrier that Chris put up.

LOL - I looked in my sheds but did not find the rest of a CMP so I will have to just find one.

I do have a very original Maintenance Manual MB-C1 Dated April 1942 Printed in Canada that I bought as a teenager, so I am also prepared.
