Hi Gary........

I'm with Grant and Phil on this one. I haven't the spare time available to spend too long on these sorts of bolts. I had to cut and grind mine off from the inside. When I'm putting it all together I'll either knock/press/drill it out and replace it with another bolt.

I suppose if you have the time and budget you could fiddle with it for ages, otherwise get the grinder out?

After using spray oil I gripped the spacer with a pipe wrench then used a rattle gun on the bolt to shake the rust off. I had to file the wrench marks off the spacer and I used a round file in a drill to ream the spacer out slightly before reassembly.

How did you go with your 'pesky' bolt Gary?

Got home early today and attacked mine. Hit it with a centre punch then drilled a pilot hole. Next was a bigger drill and tapped it out with a punch.

Another pain of a project out of the way! Hope you had luck with yours....
