hmm thanks. thats interesting about the spings having 1 extra coil in them. I guess my spings are a bit worn out then. I have all mild steel plate except for the front armour which is original. However I have most of the bits in it and they concentrated on the back half.

I think you may need to remember that these carriers are probally shifting into 2nd gear. Good reason for the front end to pull up? Aidan

You have the wrong springs in the wrong end.

Rear springs=TL126=9 3/4 coils= 9.4 to 9.6 inches long Front springs= TL332= 10 1/2 coils=10.22 to 10.42 long Inner springs are the same both ends. Just a minor error in a job well done. Congrats.

The sand and teracotta scheme that you mentioned, reminds me of Nigel Watsons MK1. I believe his is depicted as an Indian Regt. That his Father was an officer in. Ron

Yes Nigels carrier is awesome and it really stands out, i have purchased Mike Starmers books for Italy and Desert Schemes so will pick one appropriate tomy grandads time, it will be marked up as a 5thDiv or 46th Div carrier either way. i justwant a paint scheme that touch different......... of course if i go over to the Arnhem trips with Martyn and Co. it would look a tad wierd being in a caunter carrier when everyone else is in green.
