Richard. If your water pump is anything like the ones on my Autin Tilly and Morris PU. Then they have a ceramic gland seal. I have only ever found one firm able to restore them. give me a shout if you need details. Ron

Thanks for the reply ( also to Radek), but that was a post I put up 5 years ago ! I got over the cam follower problem, a very good company down your way made an excellent job, Cox & Turner. The pumps do have rubber seals, the ceramic or carbon seal is the dynamic part, there has to be a rubber seal to seal between shaft and back of the carbon disc, much the same as a Bedford 28 hp pump. Cannot even recollect where I did get the seal from now ![]() regards, Richard

Radek, The item, 2H2799 is the rubber seal that seals the carbon to the shaft. I was able to find one from another make of engine, but as it was 5 years ago, I do not remember now, but do know it seals perfectly. Thanks for your input here.

Oh blimey Richard! I just followed the thread without looking at your post date. Yes I know Cox and Turner well. Old school machinists. They have helped me out quite a few times. They are currently working on a Harley XA crank for me. Ron

Not to worry Ron. When I saw my thread on the "New posts" tonight, I could not think what it was about. It is surprising how many old posts to come to the surface again.
