Well, no-one can say that the committee have not gone out of their way this year to make the week of "Corowa" even bigger, better and more entertaining than ever.
But then you have to ask why, why why? That the green, green grass of home is not unusal this particular time of the year. ![]() It seems that Sir Tom Jones, backed by David Campbell (Jimmy Barnes' son) will be performing at the Day on the Green at the All Saint's Winery at Rutherglen on Sat 13 Mar. ![]() So for those who may be on the fringe of deciding to come or not, this is an opportunity for international class entertainment. With this however means that if you are hoping for accommodation without prior booking, guess again as the Day on the Green usually brings in an audience of thousands even with local talent. ![]() Let's face it. This could be an amazing way to finish off your week. If you are interested in getting tickets Google A Day on the Green Rutherglen. You should be able to book online. So ladies, join you gentlemen folk at Corowa this year & don't forget to bring the spare undies to throw on stage. Or guys too if that's your thing....... ![]()

This year I'm bundling all previous DVDs into one lot - that's 6 DVDs for $120 and have prepared a flyer. This will be available at the event - either see me or someone at the official HQ. The new DVD is the seventh and is available individually.

Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it!
This year's has PLENTY of fun action - It may have been Year of the Jeep officially, but it was also Year of the breakdown with the more serious trouble occurring with Blitzes than Jeeps. It could also have been known as Year of the mud puddle with all the rain which fell at the beginning of the week. I didn't get there until Wednesday evening but Andrew McIntosh was there early with his camera and has kindly let me load his footage of the wet and how a Dodge Weapons Carrier can handle almost anything! ![]()

We arrived on the Tuesday with our dodge truck with the C15A on the tray and caravan behind - also one flat tyre. The time there was absolutely fantastic and enjoyed very much. A big thanks to all who helped organise the event. It is something to be very proud of.
Our trip home was eventfull. We needed a new tyre for the truck at Seymour and 9 kms out of Seymour the dodge backfired and stopped half way up a hill and on a corner (panic broke out) The battery died and then we swapped the battery from the blitz and thankfully the dodge started again. Thank heavens for the blitz!!! We arrived home at 7.30 after 530 kms from Corowa. Looking forard to next year. Today is a day of rest. Colin and Joy |

Great week, as expected. I felt a bit naked not having a vehicle there, but have decided to have the vickers light tank ready for next year as it does fit the theme. Thanks to all the organizers for their great effort.
