Hi Lynn,
Didn't know he was a Beater of Panels, but I do know that there was one that had its body scrapped as he thought it was a jackup and not original, it may have ben a different one.
There is one down in the deep dark South Island that was in Levin years ago, owned by the electricity Dept it was very complete, I even drove it once around the block and their line yard.
I had heard years ago that six of them had been brought into New Zealand post war.
