Pictured here is the rusty remains of a CMP anti-Tank portee. I have known of this lorry for at least 30 years and the owner allways sais that he is going to restore it? It is a great shame that it is not under cover, but it is his lorry and his choice, anyrate enjoy the pictures. John.

Where's this lorry please? (Over 30-cwt so I'll say lorry!)
The data plate details fit in nicely with my listing of known Portees, which of course slot into the CGT chassis numbering: 1844031565 [PORTEE?] 1844031586 [PORTEE?] 1844131590 A/TANK PORTEE ENGINE # XR3,743,004 1844031599 [PORTEE?] 1844031615 A/TANK PORTEE ENGINE # XR3,758,552 Note the large disparity in engine numbers between chassis that were built an hour or so away from each other! |

This lorry is in the S.W. U.K. if you look at the crane jib in front of the lorry you will see the two channels to acomodate the gun wheels, would these channels be in place if the lorry was converted to another role. John.
